Marilyn S. Morrison, 69, of
Zanesville, died at 4:23 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at
Adams Lane Care Center. She was born on September 20, 1942
in Zanesville to the late Glen and Hazel Gallogly Sidwell.
Marilyn was a member at St. Thomas Catholic Church. She graduated
from Zanesville High School in 1960, graduated from Ohio
University, and additionally graduated from Muskingum College
where she earned a Masters Degree.
Marilyn was a school
teacher at St. Nicholas Catholic School. She taught
school for thirty-nine years, with thirty-five of those years
being at the St. Nicholas Catholic School. While a teacher
at Saint Nicholas Catholic School, she was named Teacher of the
Year in the Catholic Schools Diocese's of Columbus. Marilyn was an
avid reader, and was a member of the Authors Club. She loved
working in her garden and especially being with her family.
Surviving are her husband, John W.
Morrison, whom she married on August 17, 1963; a daughter, Karen
Kline of Zanesvillle; a son, Jeffrey W. Morrison of Zanesville;
and two grandsons, Justin Owen and Jarod Kline, both of
Zanesville.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother,
Glen D. Sidwell.
